John B. Casterline is a 70 year old survivor of three different cancers including stage 4 lung cancer (Aug 2006). He was later diagnosed with prostate cancer (Nov 2010) and throat cancer (Dec 2010). He finished radiation for the throat cancer on March 7, 2011 and began hiking the 2656 mile Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) on April 28, 2011. He has completed 1353 miles in the past two years and hopes to finish the remaining 1303 miles in 2013. He calls this trek "Peaks and Valleys a Hike of Hope" and has dedicated his endeavor to all those affected by cancer to include the caregivers.
